Good Afternoon All,

On Monday, Sept. 11, there will be a Court of Honor, to award all ranks and merit badges since the boys went to summer camp. All parents are invited to attend.

For refreshments following the Court of Honor, we are going to have an ice cream social. So, what does that mean for you? I need parents to volunteer to bring items for the social. Below you will find a list of what we need. If you would be willing to bring an item or two, please respond to this email so that I know what we are still missing.

• Ice cream (one gallon serves about 12-13 people) – Peggy- I can go to Sam’s and get the BIG buckets of ice cream if you’d like—Allyson
• Chocolate Syrup
• Nuts
• Several types of toppings (cookies crumbs, chocolate chips, sprinkles, etc.)
• Whipped cream
• Fruit

We need to plan for about 50 people, so if everyone volunteers to bring one thing, we should be covered.

Possible outdoor events this fall from Gary

The scouts submitted some outdoor ideas last Monday to Chuck. Chuck will forward those ideas to me shortly.

I scanned the calendar briefly. Apple Harvest is an early October outing. Between the scout’s interests from last Monday, given the weather and daylight in the fall I’d to add the following ideas:

1) an AT based hike in the area of Big Meadows, Camp Rapidan (Hoover) and the BearFence Mountain.
