The siege of Petersburg consisted of about 19 separate actions between the opening assaults in June, 1864, and the end of the siege with the battle of Five Forks and the final assaults in April, 1865. Wintergreen Tubing 2/19

Dear Troop 37,

Wintergreen tubing: For my information, coordination, travel and planning purposes, please let me know if you will be tubing at Wintergreen on 2/19. Please let me know how many family members will be going. For siblings, please let me know their ages.

The Plunge is a 900 foot, 10-lane mega snowtubing hill fills a void for non-skiers and thrill-seekers alike. The Plunge, dubbed “the scream machine,” has tubers reaching typical speeds of 25-40 mph with a vertical drop of 100 feet! Located in the Discovery Ridge adventure area.

Recommended for ages 6 and up. You must be 42 inches or taller to ride The Plunge. One person per tube, but you may “hook” tubes together.

There are no group discounts that day since it is a holiday. The tubing sessions are two hours long. Tubes are $23/person/session.

Tubes can be purchased on-line. We just need to all go for the same session . Sessions are 2-4pm, 4-6pm, 7-9pm. I imagine that since this trip is in lieu of a troop meeting that we will go to the 7-9pm session. But I’ll send everyone a confirming email about that. Currently, there are 125 tickets remaining for the 7-9pm session on 2/19.

Once I confirm the session we want, here are instructions to PURCHASE TUBING TICKETS ONLINE:

1. Go to WWW.WINTERGREENRESORT.COM
2. Click on Explore Wintergreen
3. Click on Tubing
4. Scroll down till you see Purchase advance Tubing Tickets
5. Click on it
6. Click on the date to bring the calendar into view
7. Choose your date
8. Click on Tubing Tickets
9. Click on Plunge Tickets
10. Check for tube availability
11. Choose your tubing time
12. Click on the Plunge Tube 2-4 (whatever time you want)
13. Set the Quantity of Tubes
14. Click Add to cart
15. If the next page is correct then click Proceed to check out
16. The data fields are blank so you click on Change/Set Purchaser
17. Fill in the your information and update
18. Once your information is showing on the page scroll down
19. Fill in the credit card information
20. Confirm your purchase
21. Print your receipt
