Supporting your son

Supporting Your Son and His Troop
Many Hands Make Light Work!

Remember that every single adult involved with our troop is a volunteer.

While it is true that the Scouts do as much of the running of Troop 37 as possible, their success comes equally from the support and commitment of the Scout’s parents and guardians. Years of Scouting experience have shown that for a boy to truly succeed in Scouting, at least one adult from his family mist actively participate. A review of the records of many troops show that most Scouts without a parent, guardian or family friend involved at some level do poorly in Scouting. Thus, Troop 37 invites you to please become actively involved with the troop. After all, youth association with quality adult role models is one of the primary methods of Scouting. Besides, BSA does not stand for ‘baby sitters of America’; your active involvement in some part of the troop is vital and necessary.

So please look over the various jobs and positions in the “Supporting Your Son and His Troop Many Hands Make Light Work!“, consider your interests, skills and abilities and find at least one or two things to do to support your son and our troop.
